Adult Achievement Award: Anthony “Tony” Tinervia
Tony Tinervia is a Tulsan with Asperger’s Syndrome. He created the “Autism Birthday Club of
the World” with a dream of ensuring that children with Autism receive a birthday card on their
special day each year. Since January 2018 Anthony’s birthday card club has grown to reach
more than 4,000 children across the globe.
Adult Achievement Award: Patrick Hamblin
Patrick is a college student on the autism spectrum. As a senior in the RiverHawks Scholar
Program at Northeastern State University, he has worked incredibly hard at NSU to overcome
many of the challenges of autism. Patrick lives independently on campus, has a job, and is loved
and respected on campus an in the Scholar Program.
Individual Service Award: Sondia Bell
Sondia Bell is described as a mother with a vision and plan of inclusion for children with autism.
She founded Jacob’s Bridge to Learning, Inc., a not-for-profit organization with the mission “to
enrich the lives of children and teens with Autism by linking them with a certified parishioner so
they may have equal learning opportunities to attend private and public schools.” Sondia
created the organization when her need for care of her son with autism affected her
employment.
Organizational Service Award: The Griffin Promise Autism Clinic
The Griffin Promise Autism Clinic’s mission is to provide HOPE to individuals with social
developmental disorders and their caregivers through therapy, training, summer camps, and
community outreach. They focus on more than just therapy but also provide training for
educators, parents, and caregivers. They offer multiple programs, including Summer Camps,
educator training, food therapy, parent training and special events, such as “Quiet Trick or
Treat”.
